Alpha Larracas
Has long enchanted viewers with her artistic realms, where wide-eyed children drift through landscapes at once whimsical and profound. Her elegant interplay of strokes and lighting, moments of childhood wander into poetic tableaux—each figure poised between reality and a dream. A former member of The Saturday Group where she was one of Malang’s Angels, and Tuesday Group. Larracas honed her technique alongside fellow painters who shared her devotion to color, light, and narrative. Through decades of exhibitions and collaborations since 1999, she has refined a signature language that celebrates innocence and curiosity without artific, and appeared in several esteemed publications that centers in Filipino art and culture, namely: Encyclopedia of Philippine Art, Philippine Art Now, The Lives and Loves of Artists and Models by Manuel Duldulao & more. She was also featured in Daloy Likha’s March 2024 Women’s Month issue.
