Abi Dionisio

Abi Dionisio, born in 1987 in Bulacan, Philippines, is a modern artist. Her work explores identity, culture, and the human experience. Through painting, mixed media, and installation, she expresses layered narratives. As a result, she has become a recognized figure in Southeast Asian contemporary art. Over the years, Dionisio has built a strong exhibition record. In 2023, she held a solo exhibition titled Red Is Not Red, Blue Is Not Blue at Finale Art File, which received critical praise. Earlier, in 2020, she presented Noah In Us at the START Art Fair in Saatchi Gallery, London. Moreover, she has joined several notable exhibitions. These include Flesh and Needles at Art Fair Philippines, Control Your Sheet at Finale Art File in Manila, and Backbone and Stitches at the BenCab Museum. Because of her distinct visual language, her work combines bold imagery with social commentary. Consequently, her pieces continue to appear in galleries across Manila, Singapore, London, and New York. In addition to her solo shows, Dionisio actively participates in group exhibitions. For instance, she joined ALT Philippines Art Fair and FOCUS Art Fair in New York in 2024. Meanwhile, in 2023, she participated in Babae: 18 Fierce and Fearless Filipina at CanvasPH in Manila. Furthermore, she took part in the 28th Asian Art International Exhibition in Taiwan. She also joined Women Winners of the Philippine Art Awards and ASEAN Art Awards at the Yuchengco Museum. Through these opportunities, she continues to expand her international presence. Beyond exhibitions, Dionisio has received several prestigious awards. Notably, she became a Top 5 National Winner at the Philippine Art Awards in 2015–2016. In 2017, she received the Gintong Kabataan Award for Visual Arts. In addition, she won the Grand Prize at the Art Association of the Philippines Annual Art Competition.

Alpha Larracas Has long enchanted viewers with her artistic realms, where wide-eyed children drift through landscapes at once whimsical and profound. Her elegant interplay of strokes and lighting, moments of childhood wander into poetic tableaux—each figure poised between reality and a dream. A former member of The Saturday Group where she was one of Malang’s Angels, and Tuesday Group. Larracas honed her technique alongside fellow painters who shared her devotion to color, light, and narrative. Through decades of exhibitions and collaborations since 1999, she has refined a signature language that celebrates innocence and curiosity without artific, and appeared in several esteemed publications that centers in Filipino art and culture, namely: Encyclopedia of Philippine Art, Philippine Art Now, The Lives and Loves of Artists and Models by Manuel Duldulao & more. She was also featured in Daloy Likha’s March 2024 Women’s Month issue. Aner Sebastian

Aner Sebastian artist was born in December 1964 and grew up in Sta. Mesa, Manila as one of six siblings. Although his family had diverse interests, he developed a strong passion for both sports and visual arts. Early on, he recognized his abilities and used them to support his education. Through athletic scholarships, he was able to continue his college studies. At the same time, he funded his schooling by taking on art-related projects. This balance between discipline and creativity shaped his work ethic and artistic direction. Education and Artistic Foundation Sebastian earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Painting, from the Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST). During his academic training, he refined his technical skills and strengthened his visual language. As his confidence grew, he actively participated in art competitions and exhibitions. Consequently, his artistic career gained momentum throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Exhibitions and Career Development During this period, Aner Sebastian achieved recognition through a series of successful exhibitions and competitive art events. Gradually, his work reached international audiences, with exhibitions held across Europe, the United States, Canada, and Asia. As a result, he gained the confidence to pursue art as a full-time profession. In 2005, he mounted his first solo exhibition, which marked a major milestone in his career. Because of its success, he continued to hold nearly annual solo shows. His 11th solo exhibition took place in 2019 at Joaquin Gallery, UP Town Plaza, further solidifying his presence in the contemporary art scene. Currently, he is preparing for his 12th solo exhibition, scheduled for later this year. Teaching and Mentorship Beyond his personal artistic practice, Aner Sebastian artist devoted significant time to education and mentorship. From 2005 to 2018, he taught at the FEATI School of Fine Arts, where he guided and mentored aspiring artists. Through years of teaching, he helped shape the skills and careers of many students. Several of those he mentored have since established themselves as professional painters. In this way, his influence extends beyond his own body of work and into the broader Philippine art community. Angelo Valmoria Roxas

Angelo Valmoria Roxas (born 1976) is a Filipino painter based in Quezon City, Philippines. He is known for his distinctive crown motifs. These symbols represent life’s challenges and the limits of human perception. In addition to painting, Roxas has contributed to the Philippine entertainment industry. He worked as a writer for television series such as FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and Panday (2005). Through this work, he expanded his creative expression beyond visual art. In 2024, he held a solo exhibition titled Koronang Tanso at Secret Fresh Gallery in Ronac Art Center, San Juan City. Later that year, he presented another solo show, Tropical Gothic, at Galerie Joaquin. As a result, he strengthened his presence in the contemporary Filipino art scene. Moreover, his works have appeared in numerous group exhibitions. These include shows at J Studio, Secret Fresh, ArtistSpace Ayala Museum, and Galerie Joaquin. In addition, he has exhibited at Altro Mondo, The Art District, M Galerie, and Nuzen Art Gallery. Furthermore, his works have been showcased at Boston Gallery, Vinyl on Vinyl, Nami Gallery, and Arte Bettina. He also participated in exhibitions at ArtePintura, Art Circle Gallery, Cevio Art Haus, and Galerie Francesca. Other venues include Kapitolyo Art Space, Sentro Leona, and Vetro Gallery.

Anthony Escueta

Anthony Escueta, at an early age, Anthony y( b. 1989) of Padre Garcia, Batangas already had a penchant for art but could not afford to have supplies in order for him to hone his skills. He would literally draw on sand in order for him to express his creativity then. The son of a farmer, Escueta is a newly- minted licensed teacher apart from being a dedicated artist. His training in art starred as an apprenticeship under Joseph Albao where they did a number of collaborations including backstage designs for television shows. In 2018, he started painting on canvas following his stintbaa one of the artist who contributed of the paintings of the Padre Pio Shrine in the city of Sto. Tomas. On that year he also joined his first group exhibit at the Adamson University with the beginners luck his paintings sold out. The guryon (kite) painting that he did at the start of his career is his known signature. The colorful and abstract representations of these kites were expressions and another aspect of his childhood where literally had to create his own toy in order for him to play as his parents were not able to afford a ready made one being sold in stores. Another toy he would normally use for this paintings are those inspired Lego Figures. These painting reminisce of the late Larry Alcala’s “Slice of Life” series where he would depicts everyday scenes in Filipino communities. In the case of Escueta, he integrates social commentaries to the otherwise playful and colorful depictions of Pinoy society which provide deeper meaning of his oeuvres. As of now he is one of the co-founder of Vice Versa Artists Group and Chroma Garcia Artists Group. He counts as clients many film and television directors and even actors and actresses in the country. At present, Escueta is steadily establishing a name in the local art scene and beyond.

Art Arreglado

Art Arreglado A visual artist and designer. His paintings center on “neon abstractions,” dynamic linear compositions using vibrant colors that radiate from the canvas. His works are a delicate interplay between light and dark, weaving linear forms into narratives about chaos and order, exploring the balance between structure and spontaneity. For his works, he has been a Finalist for consecutive years (2021-2024) at the annual GSIS Art Competition in Non-Representational Painting, earning an Honorable Mention in 2022. Art graduated with a degree in Architecture from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. He also studied Visual Arts at the Philippine High School for the Arts in Mt. Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna. He is also a member of the Anino Shadowplay Collective, a multidisciplinary group specializing in shadowplay performances and installations.
