His powerful, story-driven artworks have even caught the eye of Abante, the Philippines’ leading tabloid. Today, he is also recognized as one of the artists of Galerie Francesca, further cementing his place in the contemporary art scene. Beyond galleries, Jhon Lhoyd actively participates in various “Art for a Cause” initiatives, using his talent to support community efforts. He also serves as President of the Chroma Garcia Artist Group in Padre Garcia, Batangas in the year 2024, under the mentorship of renowned artist Joseph Albao. Jonathan Capiral Jalac (b.1980, Lopez, Quezon) is a self-taught artist and a License Professional Teacher. He is a graduate of AB in Philosophy, Minor in Education at Oblates of St. Joseph College Seminary in Lipa, Batangas. His journey in creating artworks began during his elementary days in Alabang Muntinlupa city where he spent his childhood, and he honed his skills through joining different visual art competitions and group exhibitions. He strongly believes that while his creativity is a gift from God, his artistic savvy is a product of hard work and a never- say die attitude to be the best that he can be. Aside from his day job as a dedicated teacher, he is also a prolific artist, who conjures breath-taking artworks that are not just beautiful to look at but instilled with a deeper meaning that makes audiences stop, stare and contemplate on its underlying messages of faith, hope and love. Anthony Escueta

Anthony Escueta, at an early age, Anthony y( b. 1989) of Padre Garcia, Batangas already had a penchant for art but could not afford to have supplies in order for him to hone his skills. He would literally draw on sand in order for him to express his creativity then. The son of a farmer, Escueta is a newly- minted licensed teacher apart from being a dedicated artist. His training in art starred as an apprenticeship under Joseph Albao where they did a number of collaborations including backstage designs for television shows. In 2018, he started painting on canvas following his stintbaa one of the artist who contributed of the paintings of the Padre Pio Shrine in the city of Sto. Tomas. On that year he also joined his first group exhibit at the Adamson University with the beginners luck his paintings sold out. The guryon (kite) painting that he did at the start of his career is his known signature. The colorful and abstract representations of these kites were expressions and another aspect of his childhood where literally had to create his own toy in order for him to play as his parents were not able to afford a ready made one being sold in stores. Another toy he would normally use for this paintings are those inspired Lego Figures. These painting reminisce of the late Larry Alcala’s “Slice of Life” series where he would depicts everyday scenes in Filipino communities. In the case of Escueta, he integrates social commentaries to the otherwise playful and colorful depictions of Pinoy society which provide deeper meaning of his oeuvres. As of now he is one of the co-founder of Vice Versa Artists Group and Chroma Garcia Artists Group. He counts as clients many film and television directors and even actors and actresses in the country. At present, Escueta is steadily establishing a name in the local art scene and beyond.
