Glenmore lawig

Glenmore Lawig was born on March 3, 1986, in Macalelon, Quezon. He is the eldest of ten children of Mr. Luis Lawig Jr. and Mrs. Marife M. Lawig, both farmers. Growing up, he faced many challenges. Because of financial struggles, he stopped schooling in his third year of high school. Instead, he helped his parents work on the farm.

In 2006, he worked as a truck helper for businessman Alfredo Cuneta. A year later, he took on several roles in a bank, including janitor, messenger, copier operator, and filing clerk. However, he was later diagnosed with meningitis, which forced him to pause his work.

By 2009, he recovered from his illness and began exploring networking opportunities. While managing this business, he also worked as a driver for a distributor company in 2011. Later, in 2014, he became a personal driver. Eventually, in 2017, he discovered that his true passion lies in the arts.

Glenmore’s creativity led him to sculpt using brass, glass, and clear cast resin. Through these materials, he creates unique and expressive works. Most of his sculptures combine modern techniques with traditional Filipino elements. As a result, his art reflects both cultural heritage and his humble beginnings.
