
Salvador J. Ching is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, where he earned a degree in Fine Arts, major in Painting. Throughout his career, he has represented the Philippines in various international symposiums, workshops, and exhibitions. As a result, he has established a strong presence both locally and globally.
Moreover, he has held 16 solo exhibitions. In addition, he has received numerous awards and citations in major art competitions across the country. Because of this, he is recognized as a respected figure in the Philippine art scene.

- 2023 – Distinguished Thomasian Alumni Award, UST Campus, Manila

Leadership and Affiliations
In addition to his artistic achievements, Ching actively contributes to the art community. For instance, he is a co-founder of Bahaghari ng Malolos.
He has also held leadership roles, including:
- Former Vice President, Art Association of the Philippines
- Former Vice President, Lakan Sining ng Bulacan
- President, The Saturday Group of Artists (2024–2026)
Moreover, he is a member of the Association of Pinoy Printmakers. At the same time, he serves as an Executive Committee Member of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) – Committee on Visual Arts (2023–2025).
Artistic Practice
Today, Ching works as a full-time, multi-awarded painter, installation artist, and performance artist. Through his diverse practice, he continues to explore new forms of artistic expression. Ultimately, his work reflects both his experience and his commitment to the advancement of Philippine art.
