Windsor Magnaye

About Windsor Magnaye

Windsor Magnaye is a full-time visual artist from Bauan, Batangas. He proudly belongs to KUNST Filipino and Arte Bauan.

KUNST Filipino stands for Kapatiran at Ugnayan ng Natatanging Sining at Talento. Through these groups, Windsor continues to expand his artistic practice and community involvement.

International Exhibitions and Awards

In 2024, KUNST Filipino selected Windsor as one of its featured artists for the Viaje 4 Europe Exhibition.

The exhibition traveled to several international venues. These included St. Camillus Hall in Essen, Germany, and Nieuwe Veste in Breda, Netherlands.

It also reached Goodphil in Brussels, Belgium, and the Philippine Embassy in Rabat, Morocco.

That same year, Windsor won Third Place at the Business Art Fair Juried Exhibition in Paris, France.

In 2020, he received the Grand Prize at Lakbay Sining: Bayan Mo, Ilakbay Mo.

His other achievements include becoming a finalist in the Tarlac National Painting Competition. He also won Second Prize at the KUNST 12th National Painting Contest.

Life as a Magician

Windsor also explores another creative field as a street magician.

In 2015, he worked as a magician in Saudi Arabia. During his time there, he joined Filipino Got Talent in Saudi Arabia and reached the finals.

His experience in magic adds another dimension to his creative identity. It reflects his interest in wonder, performance, and storytelling.

Publications and Features

Several publications have featured Windsor and his work.

These include BINTANA: Batangas Art Through the Eyes of 149 Visual Artists, Liwayway Magazine, and Euro Intermedia Book.

His art has also appeared in The Philippine Star, Daloy Likha Magazine, and Salon International d’Art.

In Paris, Moderne et Contemporain Magazine also featured his work.

Artistic Style

Windsor creates a distinctive style that often appears pixelated. His street scenes encourage viewers to see familiar places from a different perspective.

He believes that looking too closely can sometimes hide the bigger picture.

As Windsor says, “Sometimes you look too close that you fail to see the whole picture.”

His paintings capture stories that unfold on the streets throughout the day. Each scene presents another layer of ordinary life.

Art, Travel, and Discovery

Travel plays an important role in Windsor’s creative journey.

For him, exploring new places brings a sense of wonder and discovery. Every journey can reveal unexpected stories, people, and experiences.

He develops his art through both physical travel and imagination. New places continue to influence the way he sees the world.

Windsor constantly works to improve his skills. His restless curiosity encourages him to rediscover life and give deeper meaning to his art.
