Manila based artist Ysa Gernale is known for her whimsical paintings, depicting women garbed in traditional Filipina attire in what would be considered typical sceneries. But her vibrant renditions create a contemporary feel to an otherwise traditional theme.
She describes her signature style as “Stylized Overlapism” as she creates shadows in all the characters in her masterpieces, bringing forth her own brand of uniqueness in exhibits both locally and internationally.
Ysa’s revolution in painting gives her the opportunity to receive different prestigious awards in her country and in other countries as well.
