
Jonathan Capiral Jalac (b.1980, Lopez, Quezon) is a self-taught artist and a License Professional Teacher. He is a graduate of AB in Philosophy, Minor in Education at Oblates of St. Joseph College Seminary in Lipa, Batangas. His journey in creating artworks began
during his elementary days in Alabang Muntinlupa city where he spent his childhood, and he honed his skills through joining different visual art competitions and group exhibitions. He strongly believes that while his creativity is a gift from God, his artistic savvy is a product of hard work and a never- say die attitude to be the best that he can be. Aside from his day job as a dedicated teacher, he is also a prolific artist, who conjures breath-taking artworks that
are not just beautiful to look at but instilled with a deeper meaning that makes audiences stop, stare and contemplate on its underlying messages of faith, hope and love.
