Harold Gomez is a multi-disciplinary Bikolano artist from Pili, Camarines Sur. Currently, he resides in Naga City. Through his artworks, he expresses deep emotions and personal reflections. As a result, his work has gained recognition across the Philippines and internationally. Moreover, he explores the human experience through dreams and the subconscious. In particular, the concept of “HOME” serves as a central theme in his work. Because of this, he continuously draws inspiration from personal and cultural perspectives. Artistic Practice and Influence In addition to painting, Gomez excels as a sculptor, installation artist, and performance artist. Furthermore, he continuously seeks to learn and expand his creative practice. Consequently, many of his works have gained recognition abroad. At the same time, he is the founder of Kintab Artists Group Inc. (KAGI). Through this organization, he supports and mentors local artists. Likewise, he actively promotes cultural preservation within the community. Solo Exhibitions Gomez has held five solo exhibitions in the Philippines. These include: San Beda Museum, AlabangCentro Leona Museum, Marikina CityMuseo ni Jesse Robredo, Naga City416 Art Space, Naga CityTagaytay Contemporary Gallery (TAG4120), Tagaytay City In addition, he has participated in international exhibitions. For instance, he showcased works in Kapula, Mexico; Kerala, India; and Malaysia through International Action Art. Moreover, he was featured in Dreams and Divinities and AOI Europe exhibitions. In particular, one of his most notable projects is the Pagkarahay Art Camp & Festival. This initiative was inspired by the Paghilom event, which began in Cavite in 2016. Furthermore, he actively participates in the Solidarity International Performance Art Festival (SIPAF). He joined the event in 2022, 2023, and 2024. As a result, he continues to strengthen both local and international art communities. Upcoming Projects Looking ahead, Gomez will hold a new solo exhibition in the first quarter of 2026. Ultimately, this upcoming show marks another milestone in his evolving artistic journey.
